Chirag Govinde

Co-Founder and Head of the Guitar Department

Chirag Govinde from Bengaluru has been passionately playing and teaching the Guitar  for a decade.

He co-founded Odyssey School of Music in 2023 for teaching classical & contemporary music.  He has taught in prestigious pan-India institutions and international teaching organizations. He has developed a comprehensive course for music pedagogy & guitar teaching. He has also created and trained teachers successfully at national level. 

He has expertise in teaching acoustic, electric and the western classical guitar. He has completed his Grade 8 from London College of Music.

Varsha Sastry

Piano Faculty and Co-Founder

Varsha Sastry is a pianist and teacher from Bengaluru. Under the tutelage of renowned concert pianist Neecia Majolly, she has a Licentiate Diploma(LLCM) in Piano Performance as well as a Teaching Diploma. She has done her Electrical Engineering at BMSCE.


In 2013, she performed in the Young Performer’s Concert series hosted by Theme and Majolly music trust.  She was a Semi-finalist in the Furtado’s ConBrio 2016 all India piano competition.

 

She has been teaching since 2012 and her goal as a teacher is to take her students on a journey and help them use music as a tool for self-expression. Her students have regularly been finalists at the Kawai Junior Piano Competition.

Akshay Govinde

Akshay Govinde is a pianist and teacher based out of Bangalore. 

He has learnt under Ashwin Prabhakaran and Neecia Majolly and has a Diploma in Classical Piano Performance and has been teaching for a decade now.

He is a passionate teacher having taught students of all ages and skill levels including students with special needs. In his stint at Theme music institute he has built up and mentored teachers and helped them carve out their careers. He is committed to building a robust team at Odyssey music and a larger tight-knit community of musicians, educators and students across the city.

He enjoys playing Classical and Contemporary on the piano and also dabbles in guitar, bass and drums. As an educator his goal is to bring awareness and demystify music and make it accessible at a fundamental level to everybody and make it part of their daily lives.

 

Nikhil Shrivastava

With over 10 years of experience in teaching and performing, Nikhil helps beginner/intermediate students build strong practice routines and a versatile playing repertoire.

 

A Grade 8-certified guitarist from the London College of Music, he teaches acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and ukulele. Inspired by guitarists like Tommy Emmanuel and Frank Vignola, he explores fingerstyle, blues, jazz, and improvisation.

 

Nikhil believes in deep, gradual learning to ensure lasting guitar skills. He also encourages students to blend singing with guitar, making music a truly expressive journey. Whether you love Bollywood, Western pop, or instrumental guitar, Nikhil will guide you every step of the way!

Einstina Sneha

Musical theatre and Pop Vocals Faculty

Einstina is a performer, writer, and educator with a foundation in musical theatre. She trained under the renowned Ms. Neecia Majolly, completing a Diploma in Musical Theatre Performance from the London College of Music Examinations. Over the years, she has performed in productions across India, as well as on stages in London and the United States.

 

She further honed her craft at Berklee College of Music, New York City, where she earned a Master’s degree in Creative Media and Technology, specializing in Writing and Production for Musical Theatre.

 

During her time in the U.S., Einstina co-wrote an original musical titled 90 Seconds, which was showcased at the Power Station in New York City. Songs from the musical are also set to be performed at the iconic Green Room 42, NYC.

 

In addition to her writing and performance work, Einstina is also a passionate musical theatre educator.

Laura Hegde

Laura Hegde is a pianist with an undergraduate degree in Western Classical Music, Psychology, and English from Christ University. She has performed at a variety of events and was an active member of her college choir. Since graduating, she has been teaching piano, combining her knowledge of music with a student-centered approach.

She is passionate about the field of Music Therapy and aims to bring an integrated approach to her work. She likes to connect with her students, and encourage and support them through their unique learning processes.

Jemimah Esther Job

Jemimah is a vocalist and violinist based out of Bangalore, specializing in genres like pop, jazz, neo-soul and RnB. She finished her undergraduate majoring in Western Classical music (opera), Psychology and English. 


Creative and detail-oriented music educator and coach,
specializing in western classical violin and contemporary vocals with 6 years of experience educating, instructing and coaching students of all ages. Having a deep understanding of music theory, vocal, violin and performance techniques
honed over a decade of learning experience, Jemimah,
as a dedicated individual, is eager to contribute and
collaborate with organizations built to educate and train
future musicians and make an impact in the music
industry.

Sanya Fernandes

Faculty - Voice

Sanya Fernandes is a singer and multi-instrumentalist, specialising in the genres of pop, soul, jazz, and RnB. She has been a part of various bands including the all-girl, acoustic trio, Oyster Cables as their lead singer and rhythm guitarist. 


She has finished an undergraduate, triple major programme in Western classical music, Psychology, and English, and has a diploma in Popular Vocals from London College of Music. 


Sanya aims to be a versatile vocalist, musician, teacher, performer, and artist.

Yaosh Nowrojee

Yaosh Nowrojee is a Western Classical pianist holding a Diploma from the London College of Music and a triple major Bachelor’s degree in Western classical music, Psychology and English. 


He enjoys performing and has concerts frequently taking place in Bangalore. He has also been teaching since 2021 and loves doing so.
